Dragon Horses

Posted in
Well, at least it was an interesting dream.

I don't remember much but I had this horse, and I was running away from someone/something. The horse was dark brown and a jerk - never went where I wanted it to go. I mean, if you've ridden a horse before you know that an untrained, moody horse can be a real bitch. And in my dream I didn't even have reins. My horse had a collar, but I had to like smack its head left or right to make it turn.

We were in Coquitlam, and it went into a no-horse area on a golf course on a mountain. So, after much smacking, and it not moving, I got off and lead it off the course. Then jumped back on like Legolas from Lord of the Rings, and there was a huge gravel hill with a road at the bottom then a dropoff. Horse ran down the steep hill full speed and I had to bail because the momentum would have taken us over the edge. Horse went flying, but I saved myself. I was pissed, now I had to walk.

So I followed the road, found this house. They had these frog eggs in a clogged shower in about 2 inches of water. There was a wizard guy there, he told me to go find frog eggs, so I went and got one. He dumped it into the shower with the other eggs and told me, the one that starts turning yellow is my dragon horse. So, I grabbed the yellow egg when it started hatching, and it turned into this weird tadpole dragon. Stuck it in a garlic prawn fast food container with some water and it started eating the prawn. It had freaky little teeth and a horse's face. The wizard told me I have to share the first meal with it, so I had to fish out a chunk of prawn from the gross frog water and eat it :(

Then my alarm woke me up. Yep.

Suffocating Dreams

So I had some really weird dreams... (´Д`;)where I was always dying and suffocating

First one was, I got my mom's boyfriend put in jail for 8 years because he drove his car at the wrong time of day... lol! NO SUCH LAW! The guy who penalized him looked like Vigo Mortenson +30 years.

Then, I woke up really upset (*´Д`) cuz my mom is supposed to retire soon and then her boyfriend is paying the bills. But if he went to jail then she would have to work a lot more >。< But I heard some nice stuff when I opened my eyes XD Cuz I sleep with my speakers on still :P and I managed to go back to sleep...

Then, I was on the SeaBus...

...with some friends. Then, you know when you are on airplane and it goes through turbulence? The boat started doing that, shaking soooo much, and these weird back things dropped from the ceiling... IDK what they were but no oxygen was coming out, then the real oxygen masks came down and the inside was filling up with water but I couldn't make my mask work!! So I couldn't breathe ;-; and I woke up again

Woke up to same sounds, went back to sleep :D It was pouring rain outside.

When I got back to dream, the world was ending. What's with all these bad dreams!!! Anyways, so we had this Arc (like Noah, lol!) and... well it was more like the movie 2012. Like a ocean liner. We had to stop at one of my friend's houses... it was actually Nick Mui's house, but it belonged to Yongjoon Kim (Francis)... His parents were there and they were preparing to move out so there wasn't any furniture. I don't remember what we went to pick up... but we got it and left, and then we were in the field at Clinton Elementary School...
and we were on another SeaBus... The field was flooded up to my knees D: and there was this glass covering on the SeaBus that fit maybe 7 people in, already were 5 people ducked and covered inside. I looked behind and saw this GIANT wave coming... I jumped into the boat and was pounding the glass telling them to let me in... finally they opened for me and my friend and we squeezed in and the wave hit~ WOOoOOooO felt like the Coaster at the PNE, lol! And couldn't breathe at all, I had my eyes closed. Then we crashed into a playground and I woke up... opened my eyes... except I was still dreaming, so I just thought I woke up... And I was married to this other guy, but David appeared from nowhere and it felt weird o.o then I really woke up xD

(yo te amo todavia)

I was supposed to go to Sports Day today for my school but I ended up waking up at 1pm so, whatever, lol. My teachers will murder me on Monday but... ehh. No worries! Today, gonna work on Calliope and learn some Spanish later maybe with Xetsu! Thank God for Ventrilo.

Vancouver weather!

It's finally feeling like Vancouver again. I mean, usually our weather is something like this:

Summer: 100% humidity, storms, and 40+ degree weather. Meltingly hot.
Autumn: WIND STORMS. POWER OUTAGES. FOREST FIRES.
Winter: RAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNN + SNOWWWWW = ICE. Car crashes. People dying to falling branches.
Spring: 3 months of nonstop rain and hail.

Normally, if I had to choose I guess Winter is my favourite time of year around here. However, the past year was more like this:

Summer 2009: Hot, dry, stormless. Where's the humidity and monster thunderstorms?
Autumn: Hot, dry, absolutely no wind. Am I missing something?
Winter: Summer. Hot, windless, rainless, cloudless, snowless. Not even one flake. I live in Canada, where's my snow?! The trees started blooming in January.
Spring 2010: Wind, more wind. Sun. More wind. Where's the rain?

Hello, isn't Vancouver supposed to be the wettest place north of the Equator?

But I can rest assured the rain will come now. I mean, it hasn't had a good rain for awhile. Us Vancouverites need the rain to survive, where would our workforce be without S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder, a.k.a. getting depressed during the rainy season)? We factor the lethargy, fatigue, and lack of motivation into our yearly cycles. School and work lets up a bit for winter and early spring. But we spent this last winter as if it were summer. My friends went surfing... in January. We hosted the Winter Olympics, and yet had to make fake snow to do so. Luckily, the miserable Vancouver weather is finally on its way. I miss the pouring, nonstop rain, flooding, power outages, train malfunctions, bus delays and sunless days!

Anyways, today was pretty standard. Dance in the morning for two hours, though I was so exhausted (went to bed at 3am last night - woke at 7). Class was at 11ish, got my monster essay back. I wrote it in 1 hour, with a surprise topic - 6 pages on symbolism in one hour, and major carpal tunnel. I got 100% again *brag brag* only one in the class to get 100%'s on my papers. It was also noted by someone in my class that I am like a cat. I tend to stare at the ceiling, counting the dots, and following flies around the room when I'm thinking. So now I've been called a peacock, parrot, pineapple and a cat by my classmates.

After class, I got picked up by Cory who drove up from Oregon! He drove me to River Road and let me test drive his finished skyline. Hope Nick doesn't read that, lol. It was pretty damn sweet, and really smooth I was surprised, but I was nervous to drift it because of what happened with his Del Sol. And I haven't drifted anything since Lei left, I don't even think I can do it properly I'm scared I would flip the car. So he took me for some doughnuts in a construction lot instead, then we went and got root beer floats at A&W. It was awesome. I did some dirty dancing for him on the hood to the song Imma Star by Jeremih, haha! I never danced on top of a car before, good thing I am really light. He has some wicked sound system in that skyline. I could get used to this. By the way, do you know how hard it is to drive in 5inch Demonica platform boots?

Today I am just working on Calliope with a friend, and updating blogs. Tomorrow is Sports Day for my school. Haha, good luck dragging me there. If it rains, no way. If my mom kicks me out and forces me to go, and it's sunny, I will certainly be sitting in the furthest corner playing PSO or Ragnarok on PSP or DS or something. That's sports enough for me. Unless someone wants to come dance, dance is the extent of my sportyness. That and the treadmill and bike in my exercise room.

I am really tired, but I think I can fit in a whole 5 hours of dance today (since I don't intend to do anything tomorrow). Maybe squeeze in some modelling with zBrush, but I need the new version. Can't wait til I get my Ableton Live 8! I'll be making my own dance music then!

Jaa :)

Counting Sheep

Posted in
Hello :)

This will be my new personal blog. I have so many blogs now! I think this one will be the most frequently updated one, though.

For the record, hitsuji (ひつじ, or 羊) means "sheep" in Japanese.

My English name is "Rachel," but in Japanese my name is "Hitsuji". It is a strange name, I know! Like naming your kid Waffle or Peanut or something haha :) Usually girl names in Japanese that are weird like this, they add "ko" on to the end (which means small, or child) but no, mine is just plain Hitsuji. It is weird like me!

My full English name is Rachel Lauren Yamamoto. My Japanese name is Yamamoto Hitsuji (山本). And, although it's not on my papers, my mom made me a Japanese middle name which is Sanae (早苗), which means young rice plant :> Sometimes my mom calls me Midori for no reason because she likes that name, and says green suits me. But my actual name is Hitsuji! Hence the name of this blog!

It's just for posting my daily stuff, and pictures. For my other blogs, I will link them to this later! I have one for dance, one for art/game design, one for music, and one for the book that me and my friend have been working on!

Cheers!
