Been busy with school, applications, banks, and working on Calliope (game) so haven't posted in awhile, but finally I have something worthy of posting.

Today I was walking down the street today, heading to the post office to mail a parcel and my $1,500 seat fee for Think Tank (btw, I got accepted! yay! time for student loans!), and this dude stops me, pulls out a rose from his pocket and says:

"I just think you're so pretty, like a rockstar."

Hands me the rose, walks away.

So there's the rose, lol. Yes I carried it all the way to the post office and back home to my house to show my mom, hahaha. What's better is he did it in front of these 2 other girls and when I passed them they gave me these really dirty looks, like I'd just shit in their food or something. Anyways, I also saw a fully naked man sitting outside the pub near the post office, which totally made my day.

(not)

New Westminster is really weird.

Dream

Another weird dream! Lately, all my dreams have revolved around caffeine. Probably because I stopped drinking Coke, and have been dying from sugar-caffeine starvation, kept inches from death with plain water and fruit juice.

I dreamt I was at the playground of my elementary school (it comes up a lot in my dreams, weird). The field was flooded (again, the field is always flooded) and I was being chased by Autobots. No, not Decepticons, but Autobots. While I was taking a break at the playground, which also happened to be in Japan, a piece of paper with a note on it that I was carrying around escaped (escaped, like ran away, because it was an alive paper). It swam into the ocean-field and turned into a giant red foam block, then stood up on the other side and grew into a giant Starbucks sign. There were other caffeine-oriented ads around it on other foam floaty things. There was a blue Tim Horton's one and some others. So I swam out, carrying a giant yellow foam rectangle thing, and laid the smack down on the other ads. But turns out they were Autobots, and they started fighting back, so I ran back to the playground (walking on water, of course), where the foam Transformers proceeded to destroy me and my friends very slowly with their not-very-dangerous foamy appendages.

Then, the yellow foam I was using as a weapon turned into Bumblebee's evil twin brother and chased me into a forest. But turns out it was just David without a face, so it was okay.

I would have posted the rest of my weird dreams I had last night (there were at least 5 seperate dreams), but Blogger/Google fucked up bad and the servers were down for about 13 hours starting from 11pm last night, until 1pm today. So, I forgot most of my dreams by then. Something about legless cats and flaming spiders... whatever, I'm sure it was epic

Oh, and if you haven't already, my note on weird mythological creatures can be found here:

Life Sucks as a Cuegle. Weird Mythological Creatures - with pictures!

Read for info on things like the famous rooster-swallow-fowl-snake
-goose-tortoise-stag-fish hybrid of China/Japan, or the mysterious, white, fluffy creature called the kesaran-pasaran!

Cheers!

Guilty Pleasure

Posted in
I hate Nickelback. All of their songs sound exactly the same. I bet I could mix 4-5 songs together and they would pretty much match up.

But I have a guilty pleasure...

A few weeks ago, I went through a really hard time with my boyfriend, most of you know about it. After that day, I've had a hell of a time trying to fall asleep. He used to talk to me each night, and sometimes I would record his little speeches so I could listen to them until I fell asleep. After what happened, I decided it was wrong to listen to those recordings anymore. So, I zipped them and locked it away and went to bed.

I lay there for six hours staring at the ceiling, until the sun came up and I had to get up for school.

The next day was the same, I stared at the wall hugging my bear (who is named after him). Then my fish died, who was also named after him. That was on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I was at my computer after school - dead tired with a killer headache, face down on desk listening to my iTunes on shuffle.

And a Nickelback song came on. I had downlaoded them last year to make my Mom's boyfriend some CD's for father's day - he drives 6-8 hours back and forth to Washington every weekend, a lot of it is desert without reception so I thought it would be nice to have some tracks, and he likes Nickelback.

The song was "Someday". You know,

"Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when."

Anyways, I found the boring monotomy of Nickelback's repetitive musical devices and dull, melancholy lyrics actually seemed to... make me stupider. It's like I was brought down to their level of thinking, my mind became really one-track. And I got sleeepy.

So, I started looping Nickelback songs on a playlist called "Please Sleep", and it worked. I could sleep again. I'd also listen to it on the way to school, and sometimes during study block when I was having trouble concentrating. Repulsive, but it works.

I feel guilty writing this, like if I some day admitted I like the Jonas Brothers or Justin Beiber.... ugh even typing those words makes me feel neasous. Even though things are more or less alright between him and me right now, some days I still listen to Nickelback to sleep, or having a mental block.

I think it's my biggest guilty pleasure :( It would be easier if he wasn't so far away :(

Inferring

Posted in
I don't know if it's just me? Or do other people see someone interesting and start making assumptions about them...? Except I make like, a life story lol. Many times when I get to know them I am right :D It is fun. I was bored in class today, I wrote 6 pages on the guy on the other side of the room. I'll type out exactly what I wrote.. hahaha

Word-for-word, here's what I wrote... it's really long, I mean I had two hours to make shit up about this guy I don't know... usually when I do it, it's like 30min staring at someone across from me on the train or bus. But I had alllllll class this time, lol...

Here it is:

I'll start off with his physical appearance, and with what I already know about him, which isn't much. He has a shaved head, and he is 19 years old, though he looks 22. Today he is wearing a red t-shirt under a black hoodie with white writing on both sides, black track pants, and worn-out Nike AF-1's. There is a black tattoo on the palm of his right hand that he always tries to hide. He has a gold chain around his neck that he hides inside of his shirt. He has no piercings, but his left eyebrow has a scar and the skin sags a bit, as is seen in people who have formerly had an eyebrow piercing. He is 5'6 or 5'7, dark brown eyes, perfect teeth, a small mouth and nose. He looks tired all the time, with lazy down-slanting eyes, and although he seems disinterested in everything he is very assertive. He is at least partially hispanic, maybe Dominican, but not Mexican, Puerto Rican or Portuguese. He has white skin, and although he's clean-shaven he has a shadow of a mustache and beard. He is right handed, has a voice like Vin Deisel (but barely talks) and a crooked smile. There is a faded bruise on his upper left cheek near his eye. He looks like a mix of Vin Deisel, Pitbull and Eminem. He has Pitbull's mustache, eyebrows, the exact same hairline, and similar expressions. He has Eminem's jaw line and nose. He has Vin Deisel's voice, head shape, ears, chin and eye shape - but with longer, darker eyelashes.

Pitbull

Eminem
Vin Deisel

Time to infer

He doesn't let his personal or work life come in contact with his school life. He is organized at home, school, and in all other aspects of life. He arranges every item on his desk subconsciously at right angles - calculator lined up to the corner of his Math textbook, pencil laid parallel to his binder, English novel perpendicular to Math textbook. He's dated a lot of girls, but has better things to do in life than mess around. 5 seats on either side of him are occupied by girls, but he never once checked any of them out or showed slightest interest in them.

He was born in Canada, his parents are divorced, he lives with his brother and is fairly independent. He has his own job, but he must work as a dealer outside of work judging by the price of his clothing. Almost everyone at the school either deals or does. The watch hidden under the sleeve of his left arm is silver, and looks like a Raymond Weil Parsifal W1, which runs up to to nearly $900. He checks it once every hour, almost exactly on the hour. The chain around his neck is real gold, and the links seem flawless, medium thickness, and do not seem weighed down by anything so I assume it's simply a chain, with no pendant, or a small pendant at most. He has a blackberry, black and chrome. He never listens to music, and doesn't carry an iPod or any other devices besides his phone. He does not have a bag - everything he brings to class is in his pockets. His wallet is folded over the edge of his pants on the left side.

He drives to school. He likes American cars, probably Chevy or Dodge. Mustangs, Chargers, Camaro. He's would like a mustang but doesn't have one. I'd say he drives a black Camaro, stock, leather seats, chrome lining. Not a truck person. He can definitely afford one, and I see one in the lot every day. He has a motorcycle at home. He sometimes wears sunglasses to class that would match a Camaro nicely. He is a baseball fan and likes to play, goes to a cage on weekends. He likes watching football but not playing. He is not a soccer or hockey fan. He watches UFC, Spike, and occasionally MTV. He isn't a computer person, he is a TV person. Not many good friends, but knows a lot of people. Doesn't see women as "friend material". Does not smoke, but drinks - beer, not hard alcohol. He chooses his clothes carefully and never wears the same outfit twice, though has a preference for bold colours. He is not a big guy but his choices of black, red and white overpower him and make him appear larger and more intimidating than he is.

He is reserved. Every step he takes is at the same speed and covers the same distance. His feet are straight, not crow-footed. He doesn't put his hands in his pockets. He has had a lot of problems with police in the past, and he tries to keep that part of his life separate. Every time there are sirens outside on the street, he is looking out the window, searching for the police, and it takes him several minutes to get back to work. He has a low voice, quiet but strong, a crooked smile that he isn't afraid to show. It's not a toothy smile, but it's playful. He appreciates being alone, and steers away from socialization at school. He plays video games occasionally at home - FPS games. Likes Call of Duty. Goes to shooting range sometimes, knows a lot about guns (really loved studying the weapons in WWI and WWII). The way his tongue half-contacts the top of his mouth when he says words with an "r", and how "a" is towards the front of his mouth suggests that he speaks Spanish, though he doesn't have a Spanish accent. When he says words with a "w" his mouth is crooked, I'm guessing he likes rap - not new crap but middleschool/oldschool rap. Not a big music fan.

He carries himself as if he is smarter than many the people around him, but does so in such a subtle way that, ironically, only people as intelligent as himself (or more so) would pick it up, and in this way he is not bragging. His energy is constricted and he has a heavy presence in the room, though he never talks much. Occasionally he takes part in the conversations of the girls who surround him, but only to throw in a few words - never any personal information or opinions, but a few short laughs, nods and smiles. Pretends to be disinterested in things. Never makes eye contact (except, for some reason, with me), not even to the teachers.

He gets into fights sometimes, but is not a violent person by nature. He does what has to be done. He is good at threatening people, but would rather avoid a fight. He doesn't waste money on women. He's very calculating and absorbs information well. He has an amazing memory for dates and numbers, and never has to take notes. He is not good at classroom math, but he is good with math outside of school. He broke the little finger on his left hand about a year ago in a fight and it didn't heal properly. He works out and goes to the gym, but not so he can walk around showing off, he does so for practical reasons. He likes to get reactions from people without looking like he put effort into it.

He knows he is good looking and can pick up girls easily, and so doesn't have to worry about his love life. He isn't a picky eater, and he never turns down a free meal or other free things in life. He is not the type to do favours or cover costs for his friends, but he is loyal and would back them up in more serious issues. He doesn't have Facebook or MySpace because he finds it unnecessary and pointless. He has a custom phone number, something with one or two pairs of repeated digits. Does not eat or drink in class. Thinks and analyzes things a lot, but looks like he's half-baked all the time, though he isn't. His name starts with either a D, R or T and contains an R, V, D and/or an O. He is always on time for class, and although he gets enough sleep he always seems tired. Perhaps just bored with life. He is a dog person. Pitbull, but not a mindless dog - I don't think he has a dog but if he did it would be very, very well-trained.

Later on, I found out some stuff about him (barely anything)
He got the tattoo on his left hand 4 years ago
His name is Trevor (I got it right! QUOTE: "His name starts with either a D, R or T and contains an R, V, D and/or an O.")
He went to a batting cage last weekend

I am usually really good at it :D I have done it to people I don't know in the past and then become friends with them and 95% of my guesses are right. It's fun! And good killer for time in class when I have nothing else to do =o=

Okay bed time

Dragon Horses

Posted in
Well, at least it was an interesting dream.

I don't remember much but I had this horse, and I was running away from someone/something. The horse was dark brown and a jerk - never went where I wanted it to go. I mean, if you've ridden a horse before you know that an untrained, moody horse can be a real bitch. And in my dream I didn't even have reins. My horse had a collar, but I had to like smack its head left or right to make it turn.

We were in Coquitlam, and it went into a no-horse area on a golf course on a mountain. So, after much smacking, and it not moving, I got off and lead it off the course. Then jumped back on like Legolas from Lord of the Rings, and there was a huge gravel hill with a road at the bottom then a dropoff. Horse ran down the steep hill full speed and I had to bail because the momentum would have taken us over the edge. Horse went flying, but I saved myself. I was pissed, now I had to walk.

So I followed the road, found this house. They had these frog eggs in a clogged shower in about 2 inches of water. There was a wizard guy there, he told me to go find frog eggs, so I went and got one. He dumped it into the shower with the other eggs and told me, the one that starts turning yellow is my dragon horse. So, I grabbed the yellow egg when it started hatching, and it turned into this weird tadpole dragon. Stuck it in a garlic prawn fast food container with some water and it started eating the prawn. It had freaky little teeth and a horse's face. The wizard told me I have to share the first meal with it, so I had to fish out a chunk of prawn from the gross frog water and eat it :(

Then my alarm woke me up. Yep.

Suffocating Dreams

So I had some really weird dreams... (´Д`;)where I was always dying and suffocating

First one was, I got my mom's boyfriend put in jail for 8 years because he drove his car at the wrong time of day... lol! NO SUCH LAW! The guy who penalized him looked like Vigo Mortenson +30 years.

Then, I woke up really upset (*´Д`) cuz my mom is supposed to retire soon and then her boyfriend is paying the bills. But if he went to jail then she would have to work a lot more >。< But I heard some nice stuff when I opened my eyes XD Cuz I sleep with my speakers on still :P and I managed to go back to sleep...

Then, I was on the SeaBus...

...with some friends. Then, you know when you are on airplane and it goes through turbulence? The boat started doing that, shaking soooo much, and these weird back things dropped from the ceiling... IDK what they were but no oxygen was coming out, then the real oxygen masks came down and the inside was filling up with water but I couldn't make my mask work!! So I couldn't breathe ;-; and I woke up again

Woke up to same sounds, went back to sleep :D It was pouring rain outside.

When I got back to dream, the world was ending. What's with all these bad dreams!!! Anyways, so we had this Arc (like Noah, lol!) and... well it was more like the movie 2012. Like a ocean liner. We had to stop at one of my friend's houses... it was actually Nick Mui's house, but it belonged to Yongjoon Kim (Francis)... His parents were there and they were preparing to move out so there wasn't any furniture. I don't remember what we went to pick up... but we got it and left, and then we were in the field at Clinton Elementary School...
and we were on another SeaBus... The field was flooded up to my knees D: and there was this glass covering on the SeaBus that fit maybe 7 people in, already were 5 people ducked and covered inside. I looked behind and saw this GIANT wave coming... I jumped into the boat and was pounding the glass telling them to let me in... finally they opened for me and my friend and we squeezed in and the wave hit~ WOOoOOooO felt like the Coaster at the PNE, lol! And couldn't breathe at all, I had my eyes closed. Then we crashed into a playground and I woke up... opened my eyes... except I was still dreaming, so I just thought I woke up... And I was married to this other guy, but David appeared from nowhere and it felt weird o.o then I really woke up xD

(yo te amo todavia)

I was supposed to go to Sports Day today for my school but I ended up waking up at 1pm so, whatever, lol. My teachers will murder me on Monday but... ehh. No worries! Today, gonna work on Calliope and learn some Spanish later maybe with Xetsu! Thank God for Ventrilo.

Vancouver weather!

It's finally feeling like Vancouver again. I mean, usually our weather is something like this:

Summer: 100% humidity, storms, and 40+ degree weather. Meltingly hot.
Autumn: WIND STORMS. POWER OUTAGES. FOREST FIRES.
Winter: RAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNN + SNOWWWWW = ICE. Car crashes. People dying to falling branches.
Spring: 3 months of nonstop rain and hail.

Normally, if I had to choose I guess Winter is my favourite time of year around here. However, the past year was more like this:

Summer 2009: Hot, dry, stormless. Where's the humidity and monster thunderstorms?
Autumn: Hot, dry, absolutely no wind. Am I missing something?
Winter: Summer. Hot, windless, rainless, cloudless, snowless. Not even one flake. I live in Canada, where's my snow?! The trees started blooming in January.
Spring 2010: Wind, more wind. Sun. More wind. Where's the rain?

Hello, isn't Vancouver supposed to be the wettest place north of the Equator?

But I can rest assured the rain will come now. I mean, it hasn't had a good rain for awhile. Us Vancouverites need the rain to survive, where would our workforce be without S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder, a.k.a. getting depressed during the rainy season)? We factor the lethargy, fatigue, and lack of motivation into our yearly cycles. School and work lets up a bit for winter and early spring. But we spent this last winter as if it were summer. My friends went surfing... in January. We hosted the Winter Olympics, and yet had to make fake snow to do so. Luckily, the miserable Vancouver weather is finally on its way. I miss the pouring, nonstop rain, flooding, power outages, train malfunctions, bus delays and sunless days!

Anyways, today was pretty standard. Dance in the morning for two hours, though I was so exhausted (went to bed at 3am last night - woke at 7). Class was at 11ish, got my monster essay back. I wrote it in 1 hour, with a surprise topic - 6 pages on symbolism in one hour, and major carpal tunnel. I got 100% again *brag brag* only one in the class to get 100%'s on my papers. It was also noted by someone in my class that I am like a cat. I tend to stare at the ceiling, counting the dots, and following flies around the room when I'm thinking. So now I've been called a peacock, parrot, pineapple and a cat by my classmates.

After class, I got picked up by Cory who drove up from Oregon! He drove me to River Road and let me test drive his finished skyline. Hope Nick doesn't read that, lol. It was pretty damn sweet, and really smooth I was surprised, but I was nervous to drift it because of what happened with his Del Sol. And I haven't drifted anything since Lei left, I don't even think I can do it properly I'm scared I would flip the car. So he took me for some doughnuts in a construction lot instead, then we went and got root beer floats at A&W. It was awesome. I did some dirty dancing for him on the hood to the song Imma Star by Jeremih, haha! I never danced on top of a car before, good thing I am really light. He has some wicked sound system in that skyline. I could get used to this. By the way, do you know how hard it is to drive in 5inch Demonica platform boots?

Today I am just working on Calliope with a friend, and updating blogs. Tomorrow is Sports Day for my school. Haha, good luck dragging me there. If it rains, no way. If my mom kicks me out and forces me to go, and it's sunny, I will certainly be sitting in the furthest corner playing PSO or Ragnarok on PSP or DS or something. That's sports enough for me. Unless someone wants to come dance, dance is the extent of my sportyness. That and the treadmill and bike in my exercise room.

I am really tired, but I think I can fit in a whole 5 hours of dance today (since I don't intend to do anything tomorrow). Maybe squeeze in some modelling with zBrush, but I need the new version. Can't wait til I get my Ableton Live 8! I'll be making my own dance music then!

Jaa :)

Counting Sheep

Posted in
Hello :)

This will be my new personal blog. I have so many blogs now! I think this one will be the most frequently updated one, though.

For the record, hitsuji (ひつじ, or 羊) means "sheep" in Japanese.

My English name is "Rachel," but in Japanese my name is "Hitsuji". It is a strange name, I know! Like naming your kid Waffle or Peanut or something haha :) Usually girl names in Japanese that are weird like this, they add "ko" on to the end (which means small, or child) but no, mine is just plain Hitsuji. It is weird like me!

My full English name is Rachel Lauren Yamamoto. My Japanese name is Yamamoto Hitsuji (山本). And, although it's not on my papers, my mom made me a Japanese middle name which is Sanae (早苗), which means young rice plant :> Sometimes my mom calls me Midori for no reason because she likes that name, and says green suits me. But my actual name is Hitsuji! Hence the name of this blog!

It's just for posting my daily stuff, and pictures. For my other blogs, I will link them to this later! I have one for dance, one for art/game design, one for music, and one for the book that me and my friend have been working on!

Cheers!
